I felt completely exhausted today. I literally could barely get out of bed; I didn’t work out or even walk the dogs. I’m quitting smoking again, after taking it back up, so my grumpy\laziness is somewhat to be expected. I have a busy day tomorrow, with class and everything, and I already have my alarm set for 7 am, so I can do a couple hard hours of exercise before I get going with my routine.
This weekend was good- nice to spend some low-stress time with my mother, very sad and very intense to see my sick (terminal bladder\liver cancer) uncle. I didn’t have very much quality time to myself to get some work done and really make some headway on the writing projects I have going, but I’ll be doing that later this weekend. The Wolverine midnight show was, of course, awesome- I’m an easily pleased girl when it comes to comic book movies and The X Men were my favorite when I was a little kid (a love I passed along to my kid brother, as well). Also, for me and the many other female FNL fans that tittered in the audience at the simple mention of his name, tres exciting to see our little Timmy Riggins on the big screen (reeowwr!); here’s hoping he has his own movie spinoff coming up very, very soon. I have many criticisms of the film, but it marks the beginning of summer movie season (when I generally see one ridiculous blockbuster per week until September- hey, I don’t get drunk anymore, so it’s a nice chaste way to have built-in entertainment in my week and I have a very reliable movie buddy), which means I’ll have to suspend the more critical side of my movie-going routine, as the absurd summer movies are not exactly stimulating for the mind or anything other than the adrenal glands. But, love it, anyway!

Song of the Day: Three Days, by Lucinda Williams
Daily awesome: dog video!!! A technique I plan on using when I need to take my own great dane down a peg or two, though she’s more of a class-clown-type anyways, not super-dignified.
