down
I’m feeling pretty blue today; I always feel a little sad after weekends with the family. It’s extremely hard to see my grandmother (and namesake) in her current, diminished state. I had a horrible headache all day today.
Breakfast: 1 piece flank steak, 1 egg
lunch: sauteed red and green cabbage with 1 chicken breast
Dinner: 6 wasa crackers with goat cheese, 30 almonds
exercise: 3 miles with the dogs, 20 minutes on the stationary bike
song of the day: “Answer Me” by Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
Daily awesome: I think this one guy in my class is a total douche (always ruminating on various new-agey philosophies in class, has a yin-yang tattoo- no joke, a big one on his forearm); he’s been rubbing me the wrong way this entire quarter. However, today after class, we had a very lively, hour long debate that was the highlight of my evening. I still think he’s kind of a DB but he’s smart and likes to argue (like me!) and I feel like I can actually respect him now. Surprising and interesting, very good conversation.
I am sorry that you are feeling so blue. This must be hard on you feeling like you are losing peices of someone you love so very much. That just shows how much you love her. Cherish these moments that you have even if they are not familiar like moments from the past. You can bet she will as well even if she cannot express it. Enjoy the rest of your trip and the rest of your time with your family.

Congrats on all your good choices on a rough day. Glad you got to see your grandma even though it is so tough. Your food looks really good! Delita
