Sleepyhead!

Well..today I worked from 730-4…came home and said I’d have a little nap…get up at 5 and get ready for Kickboxing (530)…didn’t wake up until 515…and said shag the gym…went out shopping with two friends..god how i love dollar stores and walmart..haha. I’ve exercised both Sat, Sun and last night. I will not get to go tomorrow..we’re expecting a nasty snow storm :-(. My boss has a policy that she NEVER closes…so we can be open for any parents who have to work regardless…(Dr.’s, Nurses, etc..) which I think is outrageous…MOST people have someone to look after their child..other than daycare….like our lives are not worth anything and we can be out driving in the horrible nasty weather ….argh….Only once she has not opened…ONCE in the past 4.5 years I’ve been there!

Gnite chicks!

Well,I am not here for a debate, but I am a military spouse and I just want to point out something to you. My husband is deployed, I do not live by anyone that is even close to family, I have not lived around anyone here long enough to trust them with my children for even a couple hours, and so, I am one of those families who DEPEND highly on people like you in my child care center.

I am a school teacher. I know there are days you just want to stay in the bed. But, be proud of what you do and know that many of us (atleast I do) value what you do each day so that we can go to work without worrying about the safety of our loved ones. And, the next time you are off for whatever reason, and you just have to go here or there to get this or that, remember that the person working to help you may be thinking the same thing as you….”why is this woman making me work today?” Or heaven forbid you have an emergency in your home and call for help. The other line doesn’t say “sorry mam, we don’t make emergency calls when there is a snowstorm!” The street goes two ways trust me!

Maybe just stop and ask yourself if you are happy doing what you do where you do it. If not, maybe a new career rather than a daycare provider or maybe just in a new location would serve you better and you’d be happier about going to work even in the snow!

Again, I LOVE MY DAY CARE CENTER! THEY ROCK! Without them I wouldn’t be able to do what I love.
