Rethinking Goal Date

So my goal is to weight 160 lbs by September 30 and I realized that my birthday is October 5. So I think my goal is extended to October 5. So I will lose 18 lbs by my birthday and for the present both me and my sister ( a different one, the mother of my adorable nephew whose birthday is 2 days before mine) will have a girly afternoon and get out nails done. I was going to be down there with her anyway since my nephew is in a costume contest in the Rice Festival. He won the crawling contest last year and since his Dad’s family has all been track stars, I reckon he’ll win many more races before long. :)

I just took Luna on a walk around the neighbrhood, such fun, and dinner was the porkchops, creamed spinach, and a salad I didn’t each much of because the Ranch dressing tasted weird, very mayonaisish and its Kraft brand buttermilk ranch.

BTW: For anyone else doing Atkins, these are some of my favorite sites:

Okay, so these are some of my fav sites. If anyone knows any better ones, let me know.

  1. Yey !! Someone else doing Atkins!! Another great site is http://www.dlife.com
Its for diabetics so I always feel a bit guilty about looking into their recipes but they have an awesome mayonaise based chicken salad thats like 2 carbs. Its posted as 4.. but I found alternerative brands that were a lot less in carboyhydrates.

  2. I love Atkins. I like the food and don’t mind so much not eating the rest since my favorite foods are cheese and meat. The only reason I go off plan is laziness. It’s just easier to eat whatever and not do the dishes and not cook. Bummer. Oh yeah, and the holidays, I always derail at the holidays, but for now, my goal is to reach my goal weight by January :fingers crossed: and my reward when i hit it will be a vacation in Mexico if I have a real job(I’d better) and after remaining on goal for a year, I get a cruise. Such fun…

Yum, chicken salad sounds good. I tried the creamy jello recipe from genaw.com and loved it. I think that may be my new favorite site for recipes.
