So the evening munchy thing got me after work last night. Bummer. Instead of 1 serving of the quakes, I had 3 servings, thankfully divided into bags so I knew what I was doing. I would estimade I also have 4 tablespoons of hummus and accidentaly added creamer to the green tea, it was automatic
and that should have added 60 calories to the total. These means approximately 270 more calories than expected needs to be added to yesterday, on the other hand, I didn’t have the protein shake, so I can subtract 130 calories from 270 and get 150 calories over for a grand total yesterday in the vicintity 1400. Still not a bad day.
So on to today. I’ve been thinking about my diet (Ooh, always a bad idea) and thinking that eating 4 separate meals with the protein drink and veggies first is constricting and it feels like I spend a lot of time eating with that. So I’ve already modified the diet so I’ll eat what I want that is covered in the diet, when I get hungry. For example, this morning I had an orange when I got up at 9:30, but didn’t feel like eating anything else until 10:30 when I drank the protein shake and still wasn’t too hungry, so I waited until 12:00 and counted out 11 Michelina’s lean pizza bites (200 calories) and drank a 20 ounce of water. Then as I drove into work at 12:30, I ate a banana. So I had the meal required for the diet, just spaced out of 3 hours rather then all at once. I reckon to stay on any diet, you need to adapt it to you and your lifestyle. So, I’ll become a bit of a grazer for awhile and really continue to focus on counting calories. I could have kicked myelf when I put the creamer into the tea last night and looked at how much I put in and the calories, but this was before the extra quakes and hummus, so I didn’t want to waste the tea and it looked so good. It was seriously an unthinking impulse that I though of only after it was done.
So what’s the plan for the rest of the day?
3:45 Protein shake and plum
5:30 Thai ginger noodle soup, carrot, plum, protein shake, water
8:30 rice crackers and hummus
10:00 carrot as I drive home
10:30 tomato and protein shake
11:30 tortilla folded in half with a tbsp of salsa and tbsp of cheddar within, nuked and water
I think I can only bring quakes in limited quantities to work since I will obviously go overboard if I allow myself to eat them at home.
