Rock On 31 July 2009
Holy cow I’ve been moody for the past week. I was so down yesterday morning that a 1.4 loss didn’t cheer me up. wtf?! Anyhow, yesterday afternoon I went to Whole Foods and Publix to get my groceries for the week. I got a bunch of new veggies to try a stir-fry tonight. We’ll see if I like it. I’ve always hated veggies but lately I’ve been trying more new things and finding that, while it might not all be my favorite, it’s not as bad as I used to think. And for the chicken in the stir-fry I’ve got a General Tso’s sauce. It’s kinda high cal but If I use it sparingly it’ll be alright. I’m hoping I’ll like this alternative to restaurant General Tso’s Chicken (which is usually fried and like a bajillion points!) Anyhow, so after I got back from the grocery I was in a much better mood.
Later I went to the gym and put on my “headbangers” playlist while on the elliptical. Awesome music choice, I totally killed that bitch. Not only did I beat my previous speed, I did it at a higher resistance level! Then I did some weights for about 30 min and hit the bike for about 20 min. That’s my usual routine, I just hit it with a bit more intensity last night. AND, I managed to save enough points to have spaghetti without even touching my activity or flex points! It was carbolicious. Really, I haven’t had pasta in a while. What an amazing meal! So I’m going to hit the gym again today, and hopefully my stir fry goes well. I’m trying to use as few of my flex and activity points this week as possible (without feeling hungry or deprived of course). I’d really like to see a big loss on the scale next Friday (I’ll be working Thursday again this week and weighing in on Friday)
… Well, just after writing that my mom called. She and my Dad are coming in to town and we’re going out for dinner. So the stir fry will be tomorrow then. Tonight we’re going to L’Thai. A great organic Thai place! It’s still early enough in the day that I can set aside the points for it.
I’m not going to blog every day. I just didn’t want to leave the week with yesterday’s Debbie Downer post. Catch ya later!
