I am formally starting a blog. I can’t wait to share my experiences with the world because, concerning weight loss, I feel like I have done quite a bit of research! I work in a small office with those from various walks of life…but, there is one thing we all seems to connect on. That one thing is eating healthy and losing weight. There are no muscle heads, anorexics or pill poppers but just people who desire and strive to live healthier and happier.
It must be the odd makeup of our office that merges like minds together. We have an unconventional work environment that weeds most out within weeks, but those of us who have remained, we seem to be loyal, hard workers and very talented in our areas of expertise…you would have to be to work here!
I am about to turn 45 years old this year. My Father just passed away a month ago and my Mother seems to be declining as well. When you hit this time in your life, you go deep inside and evaluate your ways. I don’t want cancer like my Father. He lived a very clean life but had a genetic predispostion for AML. I never imagined he would make it to 79; but, he did and left this world peacefully. My Mother does it all wrong. She smoked, recently quit with COPD, eats whatever she wants and is almost completely sedentary. She has HPB, High Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Diabetes, Macular Degeneration to name a few but is 76, right behind my Father who led a very “clean” life. Irony.
So, with irony in my genes and environment, I wish to try to avoid as much inherent and extrinsic triggers to mitigate as many future health concerns as I can. Oh, and I also want to look great because I’m silly like that
