Recipes
I am always trying to add new things or adjusting existing 5 factor diet recipes. Plus I have a feeling I will be getting a lot of great ideas from the forum so here are some ideas:
2 slices of toast with a tsp of nutella
Lettuce wraps (thanks to forum member :))
Trying to get in more water in your diet? Freeze cut up fruits like oranges or raspberries in 100% unsweetened juice (orange juice or berry juice). To cut out extra sugar you can freeze in water. Add to a glass of cold water and enjoy.
A package of crystal light or another flavoring for water blended with ice to make a ’slushy’. Sweet idea for the summer! I was actually really craving a slushy today!
Carrots with low fat or fat free peanut butter
low calorie hot chocolate
LOW CAL TOFU MEAL
1 onion sliced fairly big and 1 package firm tofu sliced
in nonstick pan with a bit of olive oil and garlic on medium until onion carmalizes and tofu browns
Add fresh veggies (options include, carrots, zuccinni, peppers, chard, beet greens, pea pods, broccoli) add ones that take longer to cook first
Salt and Pepper
fresh herbs (like basil) if you have some growing
Serve with cottage cheese and cumble on a bit of fat free feta
A whole package of tofu has 360 calories, so all together you have about 500 calories in enough to serve 2 people dinner ~or save the leftovers for two lo-cal meals. This also works with chicken breasts for slightly more damage.
