Too many blogs, too little time-or maybe just a bad memory!

Yes, the Sensa did work. I lost about 30 pounds! Now, I’m trying the raspberry ketones, because the belly fat is a monster to lose. I’ve been using it for 2.5 months. I guess it’s working.

A cool website to check out is www.myfitnesspal.com. It has most of calorie count, carb count, etc. . . for most of the packaged foods. You can also add foods. Go, check it out, you’ll see what I mean.

If anyone has had success with the Raspberry ketones, let me know the brand!

Keep losing and stay healthy, divas!

Sensa really works?

I don’t know if it’s the Sensa or the modified Atkins, but I am losing weight and feeling much better.  Today, as I prepare to go grocery shopping, I realize that I am not nearly as hungry as I use to be.  I am a chronic muncher-oral fixation, I know, but I have noticed that I can watch tv without a snack. It was like an ephiphany-wowza!

So, I still have a long way to go, but seeing progress always makes the journey easier.

Until next time, divas!

I’m just doin this for my own pleasure

I was amused by how seriously I am being taken. If I want to seek attention, I will. If I want to whine–I’ll whine.  Actually NOBODY has to read this–I’m just ventin in my own little world. Lighten up, folks–I’m just havin fun. You make a comment that I don’t like–I’ll just delete it–be nice, why don’t you, or just keep it movin. Geeze. . . .

I’m back divas!

Nope, 4th of July and I’d only lost maybe 7 pounds. My SO doesn’t want my belly button pierced anyway–so there.  I was only doing it for him. Anyway, I’m doing the SENSA thang plus Dr. Atkins AND walking my neighbors dog–BTW, my neighbor only weighs like 100-bleepin-pounds.

So, I’ll see what’s up.

Going into week three!

Ok, I do see a little progress.

Everytime I see my belly in da mirror I realize I have a long way to go to “get me sexy back, yeah.” I’ve started walking for at least 3x/wk and I feel better and sleep better. I want to incorporate more fresh foods into my diet.  I like soy milk a lot more than I thought I would, which was a pleasant surprise.

So it’s raining in da D today, but in between showers I’ll try to get my walk on.

See u later, alligator. Afterwhile, crocodile.

Another day in da D

Detroit.  It’s a wonderful city.  The people are very warm, even the ones with a hard exterior have unbelievable hospitality hidden deep inside. Men still open doors for women. Little boys do the same. I love Detroit.

We have great theatre in the D, both professionally and collegiate. Great music venues, also (da Magic Bag, Baker’s Keyboard, Cliff Bell’s, many more).  We have a revived riverfront.  I love living in a coastal city. Every home in the D is only a few miles from the Detroit River. The River Walk is just spectacular and it’s a daily staple in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.  There are clowns, face painters, great food vendors, live music, da Coast Guard doing their water rescue training, and watching steamers, yachts, speed boats, and the occasional fishing boat on the river.

Detroit sports mean Red Wings! HockeyTown! Ford Field houses the Detroit Tigers. The Pistonsare still out in Auburn Hills at The Palace. Don’t forget about Little League, Flag Football, Soccer, Cheer leading, Swimming, Walking, Running, and Kronk Boxing,  all the fun you can have is in my city.

Restaurants.  We have the best. The wonderful establishments in Mexican Town that serve up great Latino inspired cuisine. Delis, diners, hot dog vendors-Gourmet Hot Dogs. The wonderful Rattlesnake Club, da Whitney, and da Salt Water at the high end and at da low end: Bucharest Grill and Duly’s.

Suburbs-we have those, too. Ferndale and Royal Oak where it’s on and poppin’ and then there’s other ones that aren’t as 21st century,  but still like being associated with the D.

Schools. Don’t believe the union-busting hype! We have more great teachers than we have bad. The school buildings leave much to be desired. The teachers arededicated but no one can work for peanuts.  If spectular work is expected, then spectacular pay should be given.  If education is sooo important why isn’t the funding available?  Maybe teachers need agents. . . .

Unemployment:  Very high, but entrepreneurship is high. We believe in helping ourselves. In an unforgiving economy with a new governor who is a millionaire and a member of the “new money” crew (hard-working citizens are planning his recall)–we Detroiters are fighting an uphill battle.

I’m sure we will win the war.

Da first week

So I start with whey protein shake, I feel full. I take two shakes and have a Healthy Choice frozen dinner–so far so good.  I’ve got this belly fat that has a mind of its own, and it’s migrating north to the bra line–

Day two, I added frozen chocolate yogurt to my Cookies and Cream whey protein, yummy! I love the vanilla soy milk (Great Value-WalMart $2.20).  But, I was hungry throughout the day. I kept munching on everything–no sweets though.

Days three thru seven I noticed a slight loss. I was a little disappointed because when I follow Dr.Atkins diet I can lose about 7-9 pounds the first week.

Gonna get back on Atkins.  I can still use the protein shake and I do like Dr. Atkins chocolate protein bars. My son and I also began walking.
