Friday!!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Running is my life| Weigh in

Guess I’d better try and post since the site was down all day yesterday and still seems hit or miss this morning. Boo!
It’s Friday before race day and that means I don’t diet today. Well, I take that back. I eat on plan for breakfast and lunch, but dinner is “let’s not restrict, but [...]

Happy Friday!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Races| Weigh in

It’s Friday AND pay day… always a good combination.
I’m down to 158! A good thing. I have 20 POUNDS until goal! *faints*
I pulled out a pair of size 8 dress pants that have been sitting in my closet for probably 5 years now. The last time I remember wearing them was when I was 22 [...]

Snow!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Fashion| Weigh in

That’s right. I woke up to a nice ground covering of snow this morning, and some major fog. This is just a preview of this weekend, which means the race tomorrow will be SUPER FUN. The run begins at 8:30 and it looks like it will be a balmy 26 degrees and snowing. I am [...]

(I use a lot of self deprecating humor in real life so please don’t think I truly feel this way about myself).
Yesterday at lunch, my coworker wanted to go to David’s Bridal to look at dresses… she has to attend a wedding in November and wanted a new dress for the holiday parties so since [...]

Friday!

Day 9 Review

Exercise: Ran 3 miles
Food: YES! Totally on plan
Stretching/PT: Yes, but not as much as I should have because I was lazy.

Yesterday I ran again with zero knee pain. But holy cow have my legs felt extremely dead the past two runs. I’m thinking they’re exhausted and need a break from five straight days [...]

Dear Scale (Day 2 Review)

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge| Weigh in

Dear Scale,
I’m not sure why you don’t like me this week. You suck. I was on plan. I exercised my little (but strong) heart out. I mean, it’s not like I have 10 lbs left to lose. I still have like 25 more pounds! That’s a lot! Let’s get with the program, ok?
Sincerely,
Frustrated former-but-still kinda [...]

It’s only the beginning

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Races| Weigh in

Official weigh in: 164.6 (hey! I lost a pound this week after all!)
I have been so emotional yesterday and again today. For one, I live in a military town (5 bases here) and we just had a bunch of soldiers come home. It was so cool to see buses of soldiers with police escorts. Everyone [...]

Weigh in: 165.4 - ok scale. whatever. be that way.
What a week.
What a LONG week. Thank goodness for 3-day weekends!
The week started with a long conversation with my boss about ways to improve customer satisfaction. I wasn’t being blamed or anything, but it was just a thoughtful conversation and it got me thinking/excited about ways [...]

Friday weigh-in

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Fashion| Weigh in

Down .8 this week… didn’t expect much since I had such a huge drop last week. Plus the exercise has been laughable. I’m ok with it (the weight loss, not the lack of exercise).
Fortunately my New Rules of Lifting for Women should be arriving today. I’ll spend the weekend reading the book and dive head [...]

Whoosh, cont’d

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Weigh in

Yay for Fridays!
Official weekly weigh in: 167.4!! I lost 3 lbs this week! Barring any major food catastrophes, I should make my Labor Day goal of 165. Actually, I met my end of August goal 1.5 weeks early (will September be here in 1.5 weeks already? Good grief!)
DH was supposed to go backpacking this weekend [...]
