Friday!!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Running is my life| Weigh in

Guess I’d better try and post since the site was down all day yesterday and still seems hit or miss this morning. Boo!
It’s Friday before race day and that means I don’t diet today. Well, I take that back. I eat on plan for breakfast and lunch, but dinner is “let’s not restrict, but [...]

Good things

Posted by: Fat Pants In: ChaLEAN Extreme| Running is my life

Tuesday was fantastic!
I came home and put on my running shoes and went out for a PERFECT 5.2 miles. Took me 60 minutes which is slightly faster than I had planned on, but I’m so happy. I really needed this run with the 10k next weekend. I know I keep saying it, but I can’t [...]

Thursday

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge| Fashion| Running is my life

Goodness! This week has felt painfully long, but I woke up today thinking “It’s already Thursday?! It’s already Thursday!!”
Major, MAJOR victories yesterday. I decided to make use of the trail by my work. Why not? It’s long, no cars, and I can get my run in during the lunch hour.
I ran for 5.5 miles yesterday!!

It [...]

Am I really doing this?

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge| Races| Running is my life

Last night was great. I looked up the nutritional information for the chips and saw a serving was 12 chips so I told myself I could have that. I think I had five, total. Probably because I was blabbing too much to pay attention to food! I stuck with my original plan - grilled chicken [...]

…and that’s why I run

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge| Races| Running is my life

…because it’s much cheaper than therapy. Ha!
I was really stressed yesterday, so after dinner I cleaned up and put on my cold weather gear, stepped outside, promptly went back inside and declared I would be running at the gym. My husband encouraged me to at least try out my new tights, so I reluctantly went [...]

Fat Pants: 2, Being a fatso: 0

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Running is my life| workout

Yesterday was awesome! Ok, so, the weather was fantastic so DH and I went to Garden of the Gods and decided to try and run the 5k route to see how much we could really do. This is the same 5k route that the Komen 5k will be doing in September. We finished in 36:30 [...]

Reunited, and it feels so good…

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Fashion| Food| Running is my life

I have a few things to be happy about!
1) I’m a size smaller in tops now! I went shopping for some new work clothes (finally decided it was time to start dressing my age.. I’m almost 27 for crying out loud!) and found a cute dark blue blouse that fits perfectly. It’s a 14/16 when [...]

Oh rly? Yes rly.

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Running is my life| Weigh in

198.8 flashed on the scale this morning and I jumped for joy. Could it be that I am finally dropping weight? Let’s hope so! My calories had been kind low (around 1200-1300) the past few days, and yesterday we went out to dinner (not fast food!), but I looked at the menu online beforehand and picked [...]

We have a piper down!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Running is my life

Yesterday was just one of those days where I didn’t really feel hungry at all. I managed to get in around 1100 calories. I wish I had more days like that! I started Week 3, Day 1 of C25k yesterday, where you run for 90 seconds/walk for 90 seconds, run for 3 minutes/walk for 3 minutes. [...]

Does it get any easier?

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Health| Running is my life

I asked myself this as I huffed and puffed through Week 2, Day 1 yesterday. Because seriously, it doesn’t feel like it’s getting easier! I know, I know.. it’s not supposed to get easier… but a small part of me feels like an extra 30 seconds tacked onto a minute of running shouldn’t be that [...]
