That’s a great way to start a Friday

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge| workout

I woke up this morning when the alarm went off and thought it was Thursday. Oh how delighted I was to figure out it was Friday! Usually it’s the other way around… I think it’s later in the week, only to realize it’s still only Tuesday or Wednesday or whatever. Given how long the first [...]

Thursday

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge| Fashion| Running is my life

Goodness! This week has felt painfully long, but I woke up today thinking “It’s already Thursday?! It’s already Thursday!!”
Major, MAJOR victories yesterday. I decided to make use of the trail by my work. Why not? It’s long, no cars, and I can get my run in during the lunch hour.
I ran for 5.5 miles yesterday!!

It [...]

Am I really doing this?

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge| Races| Running is my life

Last night was great. I looked up the nutritional information for the chips and saw a serving was 12 chips so I told myself I could have that. I think I had five, total. Probably because I was blabbing too much to pay attention to food! I stuck with my original plan - grilled chicken [...]

Day 26 recap (wow, almost done!)

Exercise: 3 miles
Food: spot on
Stretching/PT: Check

Yesterday, after leaving work late and waiting until 5:30 for DH to get home from work, I had to run after dinner. It was a great run (possibly because I hadn’t run in FOUR DAYS), but nonetheless, it was 38 degrees out and I kept [...]

Wednesday

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge

Nothing much exciting to report for Wednesday, except it’s one of those days where the alarm goes off and you wake up thinking “Really? It can’t be 5 a.m. already…” And yet, it is. It always is.
Dinner last night was good - chicken tacos. Wholly Guacamole has 100 calorie guac packs so I like to [...]

…and that’s why I run

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge| Races| Running is my life

…because it’s much cheaper than therapy. Ha!
I was really stressed yesterday, so after dinner I cleaned up and put on my cold weather gear, stepped outside, promptly went back inside and declared I would be running at the gym. My husband encouraged me to at least try out my new tights, so I reluctantly went [...]

Monday

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge

Just a quick update. I think I got steamrolled in my sleep.
Days whatever of challenge (17-19?)… I don’t even know why I call it a challenge. It’s not difficult for me to exercise, eat right and do my stretching. Whatever.
I have a race on Saturday… supposed to be snowing. Awesome.
That October goal of fitting into [...]

(I use a lot of self deprecating humor in real life so please don’t think I truly feel this way about myself).
Yesterday at lunch, my coworker wanted to go to David’s Bridal to look at dresses… she has to attend a wedding in November and wanted a new dress for the holiday parties so since [...]

I think I’m dying

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge

…from CRAMPS. Ugh. I hate you, Mr. Rogers (that’s for Marbear LOL).
I don’t remember what days I am on for the challenge but I did great all weekend. Saturday was TOUGH but - get this - I had NO snacks or drinks at the ballpark. Yay!
Friday - it was a rest day and I got [...]

Friday!

Day 9 Review

Exercise: Ran 3 miles
Food: YES! Totally on plan
Stretching/PT: Yes, but not as much as I should have because I was lazy.

Yesterday I ran again with zero knee pain. But holy cow have my legs felt extremely dead the past two runs. I’m thinking they’re exhausted and need a break from five straight days [...]
