Ok, I get it…

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

After 10 long years, I can have faith in the Broncos again! Last night’s game was awesome! I don’t like watching it with hubby though… he gets way to excited/frustrated and scares the cat.
Yesterday was typical. I ran 3 miles at lunch, which always makes the afternoon go by faster even though [...]

Back to basics (but not really)

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

Ina Garten, after years of owning a successful catering business, hosting a Food Network show and writing countless numbers of cookbooks, dedicated this season’s “Barefoot Contessa” to “back to basics” - getting back to basic recipes, basic cooking techniques and basic lessons in the kitchen. I don’t know her reasoning behind it, but my though [...]

That’s a great way to start a Friday

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge| workout

I woke up this morning when the alarm went off and thought it was Thursday. Oh how delighted I was to figure out it was Friday! Usually it’s the other way around… I think it’s later in the week, only to realize it’s still only Tuesday or Wednesday or whatever. Given how long the first [...]

Thursday

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge| Fashion| Running is my life

Goodness! This week has felt painfully long, but I woke up today thinking “It’s already Thursday?! It’s already Thursday!!”
Major, MAJOR victories yesterday. I decided to make use of the trail by my work. Why not? It’s long, no cars, and I can get my run in during the lunch hour.
I ran for 5.5 miles yesterday!!

It [...]

Am I really doing this?

Posted by: Fat Pants In: 30 Day Challenge| Races| Running is my life

Last night was great. I looked up the nutritional information for the chips and saw a serving was 12 chips so I told myself I could have that. I think I had five, total. Probably because I was blabbing too much to pay attention to food! I stuck with my original plan - grilled chicken [...]

Day 26 recap (wow, almost done!)

Exercise: 3 miles
Food: spot on
Stretching/PT: Check

Yesterday, after leaving work late and waiting until 5:30 for DH to get home from work, I had to run after dinner. It was a great run (possibly because I hadn’t run in FOUR DAYS), but nonetheless, it was 38 degrees out and I kept [...]

Weekend recap

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Races

Friday - met DH to see “Couple’s Retreat” which we probably should have saved for Netflix. Like I feared, all of the funny parts were shown on the previews, but oh well. It was good to do something different! Then we went shopping for a long-sleeved moisture wicking shirt for me and running tights for [...]

Snow!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Fashion| Weigh in

That’s right. I woke up to a nice ground covering of snow this morning, and some major fog. This is just a preview of this weekend, which means the race tomorrow will be SUPER FUN. The run begins at 8:30 and it looks like it will be a balmy 26 degrees and snowing. I am [...]

Knock, knock, knockin’ on 150’s door…

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Fashion

Actually I’m already in the door. 159.8 this morning! Tomorrow is official weigh in, so I will be extra good today (especially since it’s taper week so no exercise today or tomorrow).
Day 22 review

Eating: yeah, despite being at Red Lobster! I had grilled shrimp and steamed broccoli, no booze/Dr. Pepper and stayed away from those [...]
