Goodbye summer, hello…winter?

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

I’ve joked before that we only have two seasons here in Colorado….summer and winter. Ok, I take that back… maybe one month of spring and one month of fall. Both littered with periodic snow! It’s not snowing, but yesterday sure did feel like a taste of winter. We woke up to fog, cloudy-cold-drizzly stuff that [...]

Friday weigh-in

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Fashion| Weigh in

Down .8 this week… didn’t expect much since I had such a huge drop last week. Plus the exercise has been laughable. I’m ok with it (the weight loss, not the lack of exercise).
Fortunately my New Rules of Lifting for Women should be arriving today. I’ll spend the weekend reading the book and dive head [...]

Taking a step back

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

Yesterday’s run was no good. It COULD be the fact that I am fighting off DH’s cold… I don’t really feel like crap, but my sinuses have been draining non-stop, irritating my throat, and now I’m coughing up junk. I have been sleeping WONDERFULLY for the past week and I still feel sluggish and tired [...]

Wednesday, schmednesday

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Food

Yesterday was the same ol’, same ol’. Got home and baked a turkey breast for dinner. It turned out well, but now I’ve got a LOT of turkey to use up! I made stock out of it overnight in the crockpot…nothing like homemade turkey soup! DH and I went for a walk and then to [...]

It’s only Tuesday? Not possible!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: workout

It’s funny how you can sleep through an entire night and still feel tired the next morning. I was out by 9:30 and didn’t wake up until the alarm went off at 5:15 this morning…almost 8 hours of glorious sleep and I am DRAGGING today!
Yesterday was the usual. I have a running buddy on Mondays [...]

Need motivation? Get angry.

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

I’m not really lacking in the motivation department at the moment, but last night I was thinking about my life, as I often do while laying in bed, trying to go to sleep (maybe my life is so boring that I figure I will bore myself to sleep? who knows). I was thinking about my [...]

Whoosh, cont’d

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Weigh in

Yay for Fridays!
Official weekly weigh in: 167.4!! I lost 3 lbs this week! Barring any major food catastrophes, I should make my Labor Day goal of 165. Actually, I met my end of August goal 1.5 weeks early (will September be here in 1.5 weeks already? Good grief!)
DH was supposed to go backpacking this weekend [...]

Whoooooooooosh!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

I know official weigh in day is tomorrow, but I was 168.2 this morning! *happy dance* I think I can officially say I’ve moved on from the 170s. Incredible. I can’t believe I have lost 45 lbs. I keep thinking “5 more lbs and I’ll have lost 50 lbs” in my head and it’s hard [...]

Long run day

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

Today for my 10k training is a scheduled 5 mile run. Holy smokes. 5 miles! Ack! I hope it’s better than the 3.5 miles I did on Monday. I’m in need of a good run! Since today is the long day, I didn’t want to wear myself out so I took yesterday off and rested [...]

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Deep thoughts by Fat Pants

Did anyone read this book when they were little? It was one of my favorite books to read - the illustrations were amazing! They’re coming out with an animated movie based on the book this fall…not sure I will go see it, but it should be fun for kids. It’s cloudy and rainy today… the [...]
