July wrap-up

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Weigh in| workout

This was a big month for me! I can’t believe July is already over and August is here. DH starts back to school at the end of August which means an adjusted schedule but we’ll make it work. Thank goodness he only has three more classes left and then he’s done.

So, let’s see. In July…

  • I went to Mexico and maintained my weight
  • Hiked my first 14′er
  • Ran 4 miles/45 minutes
  • Lost 7 lbs
  • I weighed in at 171.8 this morning, meeting my July goal of 172 lbs.

Yeah, I’d say it was a decent month!

August goals

  1. Lose 5 lbs (goal 167)
  2. Run 4 miles at least once a week
  3. Run entire 5k route
  4. Organize my life - less clutter, better planning (especially meals)

Nothing much exciting happening this weekend. DH has today off so he’s coming to have lunch with me. I asked him to pick up some french onion soup from Panera - perfect for a very gray and rainy day (again). Last night I ran for 3 miles and did pretty well - no knee pain, which is a huge plus. Today I think I’ll go to the gym for an easy run and then tomorrow it’s 5k day. We didn’t go last week (shame!) so I really need to do it tomorrow. Then tomorrow evening is DH’s company picnic at the zoo! I’m so excited.. I love the zoo!

Not much else to say… oh, if you have a Gap, Old Navy or Banana Republic near you, you can get 30% off your purchases from now until August 2nd, and a portion of your purchase goes to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. You just have to print off the coupon and bring it in with you: http://www.leukemia-lymphoma.org/all_page.adp?item_id=552506

You are doing so splendidly! Some days I think what little motivation I have, is partly because of your determination! You ROCK!

I’ve been meaning to ask you…I noticed that the ppl that have updated journals show a different color on your blogroll…is this something new? Gosh, I have been harping about adding this feature since we transferred over from the journals. Is it only on this theme, though?

Congrats on 171.8!! You are almost into the 160s!!! I’ve added some of the blogs into google reader, I find it so much easier to find the blogs now.. it puts all your reading on one screen.. so nice.
