Restless!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Weigh in

Yesterday was busy! I am starting to get antsy about traveling… excitement, anxiety (ugh, flying!), anticipation…ya know the drill. I couldn’t sit still so I started packing yesterday afternoon. I figured that if I get a jump start on it, hopefully I won’t forget anything. Well, packing at first is always so disorganized! So that was stressing me out, so I started on dinner. We had grilled ham and corn on the cob. Yum! After that, we cleaned, did laundry, etc and then ran out for a few last-minute errands. DH wanted to get a book to read on the plane so we headed to Barnes and Noble. On the way home, he suggested iced coffee from McD’s so I said sure. It wasn’t as good as the hot coffee lol. So I only drank half of it, but more importantly - avoided a McFlurry temptation! We got home and tried to watch our Netflix movie (License to Wed… not that funny), and by that time, I think we were both starting to feel antsy again, so I suggested he help me with packing. THAT lasted another hour and half! But I think we have mostly everything done, save for stuff we still need today and tomorrow. I have to stop by Walgreen’s after work and pick up a few things, but other than that, I think we are good!

So - no exercise for me yesterday (unless running around packing, doing laundry and cleaning counts!), but I must have done something right because I weighed in at 177.8 this morning. Being 177 actually puts me in the “overweight” BMI category… no longer obese! Unreal! To be in the “healthy” BMI, I will have to lose another 30 pounds exactly. I think BMI standards are a little wonky - for example, at my goal of 143 lbs, I’ll be at the high end of healthy. I have a larger bone structure and can’t imagine ever getting below 130, but the low end of healthy BMI for my height is 110 lbs! Ha!  Not happening. Speaking of goals, I was discussing this with my husband the other day. He asked where losing 70 lbs would put me, and I told him around 140, but I may re-adjust my goal once I get there. I have been as low as 130 before, so I know my body can get there, but that was also 6-7 years ago and things have changed since then.

So, that is it for me for June: 7 lbs lost. That’s my best month yet!

Today is running, meeting friends for dinner, trying to relax. I hope we can get in some exercise tomorrow morning, but I’m not counting on it. I need to exercise though, gotta work off some of this adrenaline! It’s keeping me up at night!

great loss for June!!!! You will be on the beach before you know it! I almost always lay a suitcase out about a week or two before we leave, and start “collecting” things I want to take so I don’t forget anything….dh thinks I am nutty ( he usually packs the morning we are leaving, and I think he is nutty) but when you pack for yourself and your kids, you have to have a system! Dh always says, if we forgot it, we can always buy it when we get there, and I suppose that’s true.

Have fun!!!! I will miss you when you are gone!

FANTASTIC job on the 7 lbs., and even moreso, getting out of the ‘obese’ category and into just ‘overweight’…! You are an inspiration to me!

I’m so excited for you on your vacation! You are going to have SUCh a blast!!!! :D

Thanks ladies!! I am so super excited about going. I could hardly sleep last night! Haha I feel like a little kid. Renee, it’s good to know I’m not the only one that needs to start packing early. But DH agrees - usually when we pack last minute, we end up forgetting something important, so at least we have a few days to try to think of anything we might be missing. I will miss you ladies as well!
