Yesterday was busy! I am starting to get antsy about traveling… excitement, anxiety (ugh, flying!), anticipation…ya know the drill. I couldn’t sit still so I started packing yesterday afternoon. I figured that if I get a jump start on it, hopefully I won’t forget anything. Well, packing at first is always so disorganized! So that was stressing me out, so I started on dinner. We had grilled ham and corn on the cob. Yum! After that, we cleaned, did laundry, etc and then ran out for a few last-minute errands. DH wanted to get a book to read on the plane so we headed to Barnes and Noble. On the way home, he suggested iced coffee from McD’s so I said sure. It wasn’t as good as the hot coffee lol. So I only drank half of it, but more importantly - avoided a McFlurry temptation! We got home and tried to watch our Netflix movie (License to Wed… not that funny), and by that time, I think we were both starting to feel antsy again, so I suggested he help me with packing. THAT lasted another hour and half! But I think we have mostly everything done, save for stuff we still need today and tomorrow. I have to stop by Walgreen’s after work and pick up a few things, but other than that, I think we are good!
So - no exercise for me yesterday (unless running around packing, doing laundry and cleaning counts!), but I must have done something right because I weighed in at 177.8 this morning. Being 177 actually puts me in the “overweight” BMI category… no longer obese! Unreal! To be in the “healthy” BMI, I will have to lose another 30 pounds exactly. I think BMI standards are a little wonky - for example, at my goal of 143 lbs, I’ll be at the high end of healthy. I have a larger bone structure and can’t imagine ever getting below 130, but the low end of healthy BMI for my height is 110 lbs! Ha! Not happening. Speaking of goals, I was discussing this with my husband the other day. He asked where losing 70 lbs would put me, and I told him around 140, but I may re-adjust my goal once I get there. I have been as low as 130 before, so I know my body can get there, but that was also 6-7 years ago and things have changed since then.
So, that is it for me for June: 7 lbs lost. That’s my best month yet!
Today is running, meeting friends for dinner, trying to relax. I hope we can get in some exercise tomorrow morning, but I’m not counting on it. I need to exercise though, gotta work off some of this adrenaline! It’s keeping me up at night!
