The wonderful world of food

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Food| Health| workout

Last night, hubby and I grilled some chicken and corn on the cob for dinner. It was the best meal I’ve had in a LONG time! We used the Jack Daniels Spicy BBQ sauce on the chicken. As hubby said “I think this was better than the Chinese we had yesterday!” and I agreed. That’ll [...]

If I’m going to be honest, I really only have myself to blame when it comes to this stall or plateau or whatever you want to call it. I posted on Beerab’s blog that I haven’t been logging my food or counting calories lately and it was a nice break. Except that when I don’t [...]

108

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

I figured out this morning that I have taken 108 pounds of pressure off of my knees since losing 27 lbs. For every pound lost, you take off 4 lbs of pressure on your knee joints. 108 lbs! That’s pretty serious.
I am in a foul mood this morning, unfortunately. It should be different since it’s [...]

Curse you, scale

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

I’m stuck at 186! I thought for sure I’d see 185 this morning, but no such luck. I did see a 1/2 inch loss on my waist and 1/2 inch lost on my thighs, so I’ll take that! Maybe I ate too many tortilla chips and salsa yesterday. I love hanging out with my nephew [...]

Birthday shoes!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: progress photos

Well, even though my birthday isn’t until next Monday, I couldn’t stand it anymore and finally begged DH to let me open my birthday present:

My shoes! My shoes! I strapped them on and went for a little jog up the street. I can already tell the stability support is WAY better than my old shoes. [...]

It’s starting to feel real

Registration for my city’s Race for the Cure 5k begins THIS FRIDAY!
I don’t know why, but I got a little emotional when I realized when registration starts. The race has just been this far off goal in mind that most people laughed at our silently doubted whenever I told them I would do it this [...]

Tan my WHAT?

Posted by: Fat Pants In: workout

Running outside has broken out my freckles in various places…mostly on my face, though. I am as white as all white get out. Dh thinks I need some tanning before we go to Mexico, but I don’t really ever tan…just burn. What’s wrong with my blindingly white legs, anyway? I have always been sooo anti-tanning [...]

Sunny skies!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Food

My weight dropped to 187.4 again this morning and I’m still pretty crampy and bloated, so here’s to hoping I’ll hit my goal of 185 by the end of this week!
beerab is always posting what she’s eating so I thought I’d share my meals for the past few days:
Monday

Breakfast: 10 crackers and 1/2 cup of [...]

Awwww yay

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Deep thoughts by Fat Pants

PaperSkin, sunnygee, beerab, jewlz - you guys are awesome. Seriously. I teared up a little reading the comments on my last post because it’s so nice to have someone tell you that you’re not insane, it’s ok not to be ready, and that life doesn’t end after children. Life doesn’t end after children… it’s funny [...]

Survivorwoman? Not so much

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

Where do I even start?
I guess with Friday.
I had planned on running the 5k route at Garden of the Gods, and made a quick grocery run beforehand to try and knock out at least one of my weekend errands. By that time, it had started to rain and the temps dropped about 20 degrees to [...]
