Not a total wash after all?

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

Down to 182.8 this morning! As it stands, I’ve lost 5.6 lbs in May which is better than I thought I would do considering the month-long food fiasco. As long as I can hold on for tomorrow and Sunday, maybe I’ll end up with 6 lbs total. I’m still happy with 5, though! I’ve dropped [...]

The image game

I just had a conversation with someone in my office that reminded me of a discussion DH and I had over dinner last night.
I was talking about my salary and some of the extra stuff I’m doing at work so that when we do start getting raises again, I have a lot of leverage to [...]

At one with nature?

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

I came to work this morning to find three deer (two bucks and a doe) just outside my window. They were grazing in a field behind my office and chowing down on the bird seed in the bird feeder! I’ve seen squirrels, raccoons, and the like attempt to eat bird seed, but never deer. I [...]

Finally…sunshine!

I left the house this morning for work already in a GREAT mood - I’ve officially lost 30 lbs! My mood was even better when I saw the sun peaking over the horizon for the first time since, like, last Friday! Seriously, it’s rained every single day since then. I am grateful for the moisture [...]

It’s about time I up the ante

Posted by: Fat Pants In: workout

Looking over my May spreadsheet for my weight loss, I’ve lost just under 4 lbs so far for the month of May so far with a week left to go. I knew May was going to be tough, but I should have done better with the eating. It’s just under 5 weeks until vacation and [...]

First off I would like to thank everyone in the military and their families for giving such a great sacrifice to protect our country. I have two cousins in the military and being that I live in a military town (we have five bases here), lots of friends and acquaintences who have served. So THANK [...]

Yippee! Friday!

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

For some reason this week has been a long one. Work has been relatively easy so I’m not sure why I’m complainning! And, it’s the holiday weekend! Yahooooooo! Just the thought of a 3-day weekend makes my day that much better, despite it being foggy and rainy. The forecast says it *should* get up to [...]

That’s what I like to see!

Back down to 186 this morning. Oh please, oh please let this be the last of the birthday fiasco! My neighbors threw me a surprise birthday party last night! Complete with chocolate cake and ice cream. I had just a tiny bit of the cake and some strawberry ice cream. I LOVE strawberry ice cream. [...]

A “wasting time” update

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

10 minutes until I get to go home and I’m edited out for the day (I am a technical writer so I get tapped for all the marketing piece editing quite often).
FIL was moved out of the ICU, but they are thinking he’ll be there for 5 days at the least and a week at [...]
