Komen 3-day Training

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

I figured out a schedule for training fo the Komen 3-Day. I still haven’t signed up yet, but I figured I would train for a month and see how I feel. Really the only thing holding me back is Dave not doing it with me…grr! Oh well. Time to grow up and do some things on [...]

Weekend report

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

Well this weekend was so-so. After no feeling great on Friday, the hubs and I went to Chili’s and I had a side salad and tortilla soup. The soup was pretty salty so I didn’t eat much, and the salad was yum. I was happy for making good choices, because I didn’t get a walk [...]

I lost my intestine, have you seen it?

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

Mostly through the work day and I’m not feeling one bit better. My allergies have let up, but my stomach is as queasy as ever. I drank some hot tea, which settled it for a bit. Then we had lunch.
I was lucky in that it was a potluck-type lunch so I had some choices; unfortunately [...]

Feeling like crud

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Food| workout

I’m sure I could feel worse this morning, but it doesn’t seem like it. I don’t know if it’s allergies or a cold, but my nose is miserable, and kept waking me up all night. On top of that, my stomach feels super queasy.. I think it’s because of drainage going into my stomach all [...]

Am I NUTS?????

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

Am I totally crazy for wanting to do this? Someone on the 3FC forums mentioned signing up for the Komen 3-day. 3-day? What’s that? I’d only ever heard of the Race for the Cure 5k. So I checked it out.
It’s a 3-day walk totalling 60 miles - average of 20 miles a day. You camp [...]

Feeling it today

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

Yesterday I did weights for the first time in who knows how long. My arms are really feeling it, which is good… that’s where I need to do weights the most! I’m really wishing I had my exercise ball already because the four sessions I had with a personal trainer taught me a lot of [...]

All about food

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Food

Today’s food is going to be a little tricky. Every Wednesday we have Bible study at our church and beforehand, a together meal with other members. I love this because it means I cook one less night a week, and no dishes! Wahoo!
But as you have probably already guessed, the meals aren’t so healthy sometimes [...]

Amazing what a food scale can show you

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Food

Last Christmas, the husband got me a digital food scale and I’ve used it ever so sparsely since. He was excited to give it to me, since he goes backpacking quite often and uses the scale to weigh food and supplies for his backpacking trips, as every ounce counts when you’re carrying a 60 lb [...]

Facing the music

Posted by: Fat Pants In: General

So I caved and bought a scale (this one) and promptly hopped on it when I got home. I figured, why not prepare myself for my official weigh in tomorrow morning by getting a good idea how much I weigh? At least the shock and depression won’t be so bad.
I was thinking back to my [...]

Well, wouldn’t you know it

Posted by: Fat Pants In: Food| workout

After exercising for a total of 1 hr and 15 minutes yesterday (go me!) and sticking OP the entire day, I decided to brave the scale this morning and see the damage I have done from not working out consistently and eating whatever I wanted for the past three months.
The scale flashed 153.0 lb. LOL!!!!! [...]
