Sabbatical….over and done with!
If it hadn’t have been for SistaPat I would have forgotten completely the way here..or even that there was a here…But a reminding note one day kept me thinking about this danged sabbatical…or rather..eopisode of hiding head in sand…and hanging onto the buffet bar!
yesterday i rejoined Herbal Magic…I had gained back almost everything I had lost..but it certainly isn’t anyones issue but mine. I know what to eat. I know what not to eat..& I know anything in between is just an excuse! So, today i started my “RE-DIRECTION”.
fixated a bit on food, which is normal..especially since I ate the bulk of the food this evening…having had to run around. But I have a few bars for the next time that happens. AND I am on holidaze until Monday.
Just began to sleep in yesterday & today…the phone actually woke me up at 8:45am this morning. Last week was still getting up at %;30am..even on holidaze! But come Monday I will want to sleep in and can’t! haha, oh well, it will be good to get back to work. i am really fortunate, I LIKE my job and they pay me well for it…and they seem to respect me. Who could ask for more?
Dad was in the hospital a month or 2 ago, he said It might be easier on my knees if I lost some weight…<imaginary punch in the head to Dad>. this was just after he had introduced me to his future wife Colleen. yes, introduced…Now, Mom has been gone for, well on the 6th of January 2 years, and while I certainly do not begrudge him anyone, I wish it had been a bit of a gradual intro! Hahah! She is a diabetic as is Dad, and will hopefully be able to keep him on the straight and narrow food wise for health. She is on a low card diet, which he said he would be ok with. It is interesting to see him try that…being so accepting of something so different when before he would say something rude and dismiss it. I am glad he found Colleen. She is kind & gentle and shares his love of God. All is going well.
So all in all, things are well in my world. Tomorrow I will spend a walk or 2 out with the dogs around the neighborhood, start to count steps..strive for more. Help to re-direct the stupid thoughts one tends to focus on when starting to eat better!
THANK YOU SISTAPAT for not forgetting about me. Enjoy your trip..I am jealous and can not to see some great photos!!!

Hello! And thank you for leaving me such encouraging words (I’m Ready! blog) - I appreciate it very much. I see that you have two dogs - and so do I. I have a Weimaraner and a german shephard mix and I know that walking them can be a workout and a half! Hope your two are better behaved.
I am glad that you have come back to the boards and I look forward to following your journey and drawing from it for support and inspiration.
Welcome back! So glad to see you back on the blogs! You’re wit and humor were missed so much! Can’t wait to get home and get back in the “healthy mode”. I’ve eaten so much the last month I’m afraid to even look at the scales!
