Zumba

I never thought tripping over my own feet could be so much fun! I recently started using Zumba, a fitness DVD guaranteed to get you up and moving, and loving every step you take. If you’ve never heard of Zumba, imagine Latin style dance aerobics. Now imagine the fast, pumping music, the handsome men, the hips of Shakira - it’s all there! You’ll burn calories while sculpting your body. It’s fun and addictive! zumba

The Zumba set includes 4 DVDs and an audio CD. The first DVD teaches you the steps to a variety of dances used throughout the Zumba series. You’ll learn to do the mambo, rumba, salsa, flamenco, and more! You don’t have to be a good dancer to get a workout from Zumba, but you’ll probably be a better dancer before you know it. It’s so much fun! The other DVDs include Power, Advanced, and one designed for Abs, Buns, and Thighs. The Power DVD includes a bonus section for kids. They do move pretty quickly, so novices may not be able to keep up at first. If I can get the hang of it then anyone can, so don’t give up!

This fitness DVD set is for everyone that hates traditional aerobic DVDs. It’s for everyone that loves to dance, or thinks they can’t dance. It’s for adults and kids. Zumba is fairly easy on the joints, unlike some other types of aerobics. Did I mention that it’s also fun?

You can also visit Zumba studios all over the country and take classes. We’ve heard that some classes stay so busy that people are routinely turned away. If you don’t have a class in your area, try the DVD set. You can purchase directly from Zumba for $49.95, or check eBay for good deals on new sets. When you visit the Zumba website, click to view the Zumba DVD preview and you can get a hint of what’s in store for you.

Have fun!

I just started taking zumba classes at the Y a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it!
I never imagined that I’d get the same measure of workout compared to some of the other classes, but I’m here to tell you that you really do sweat and it’s just tons of fun. The hour flies by.

It is fun. I am 59 and I can keep up. Am worn out when I am done - you never stop moving.

My daughter introduced me to Zumba–so I bought the DVD’s and love them. I got to take a class where she lives since they aren’t offered where I live yet:(. The class was SO FUN!!! If you live where Zumba classes are offered, I highly suggest trying it out!! If not, the DVD will suffice.

Started using the gym membership that I had been paying but not going….Meeting friends who were late–popped in to the class that was starting and had seen from a far…..been going ever since! And taking as many friends as possible, too much fun to miss!

Zumba is fun!!!!!!!!! My daughter and I started going to Zumba in the winter of 2006 and had such fun! We hate to exercise and love to dance so this class gave us what we needed and what we love all at one time. As time went on and we invited everyone we could we finally got our exercise instructor at work to come and now we have Zumba classes offered at work. It’s one of the more popular exercise classes offered and well attended by young and old alike.

The main thing to remember if you can’t dance it’s okay because you are moving and burning calories and having fun. So above all else - HAVE FUN and be safe - ching, ching!

I’ve been teaching Zumba for almost 4 years ago and just recently opened my own Studio Zumba. One of only 3 in the country right now. I’ve even been interviewed about my weight loss for the upcoming infomercials for the latest DVD set coming out in the fall. It’s so much fun you’ve gotta try to take a class. Go to www.zumba.com to find a class in your area!!

I started taking Zumba classes back in October and just got certified to teach it, I loved it so much. I’ve never been able to stick with any kind of exercise but this I’ve been doing regularly for over 10 months! And I’m about 50 lbs overweight and I say if I can teach it, anyone can do it. ;) So yeah, lots of fun.

I started taking Zumba classes in May 2006 and absolutely fell in love with it. I attended my first workshop in Dec 2006 and started teaching in January. Since taking my first class, I have lost 40 lbs. The hour of class goes by sooo quick, you don’t even realize it.
Zumba is fun and effective. What else can you ask for in an exercise class?

I ADORE Zumba! I love dance, and have been having a hard time sticking to working out since so many DVDs I encountered in years past were boring…at best. I have loved Martial Arts and Dance…and with Zumba! I get to play. I have fibromyalgia and while aerobics are recommended its hard to find something safe…and fun. this is BOTH
My only complaints are that there is no instruction for the belly dance portion, and the kiddie exercise portion really should have been offered separately, and outside of the box set. I found it really annoying, and off putting that it was assumed needed. Also, the Abs volume could have been better had they used upright dance movements like other programs I have.

I have been going to zumba at least once a week for 2 months now..if they offered it everyday i would go, but the amazing part is that I have am losing weight and not feeling like I’m on a diet! I see why the teachers are so happy, I know my general mood has been more positive and carefree..I sit at my desk sometimes shaking my hips! I’m going to get certified next month to teach Zumba if that tells you how much fun it is.

Zumba is the most fun workout I’ve ever done. Former die-hard Jazzerciser….now it’s Zumba. Go to the site and find a live class. I’ve gone down a size in the two months I’ve been doing Zumba.

I’m going to a Zumba Teacher Training class this week. I’m excited. Where I live, we don’t have any activities. I think this will be good for our community.

  15. Jamie Says:

I’ve attended a few Zumba class and thought they were fun. Thinking of purchasing DVDs. ??? is for those of you that are Zumba instructors, do you first have to be a personal trainer or can you just take the training, pay the fee, and be set to teach?

  16. Tracy Says:

Love, love, love Zumba. I’ve gone down 3 dress sizes and toned up my whole body. The saying is so true “Ditch the workout-Join the party!”

  17. ZaZumbaDeb Says:

New DVD sets will be coming out this week. I’ve seen hints on youtube and they look great. I’m an instructor and honestly, there is nothing like taking a live class. I also love to Jazzercise and both of these together are a great workout combo. Zumba to me is just like going out dancing but you get to wear comfy clothes and no high heels.

  18. Kathya Says:

I am using the Zumba DvDs and boy they are giving me the workout of my life — I love to dance!
