Many of us have made some very bad choices at McDonalds in the past, filling up on super-sized portions to take advantage of a bargain priced meal. Pies were 2 for a buck. Who could resist? Now we pay the real price, and have to forget about the super-fat laden meals of our past. That doesn't have to mean giving up McDonalds, especially if it is your best choice on your lunch break or while traveling. All it takes is a little planning and some common sense portion control. Make visits to McDonalds, and other fast food restaurants an occaisonal treat or necessity, and not a regular habit.

McDonalds has been working diligently to change their reputation for heart clogging cuisine. They've discontinued Super-Size portions, and fry their potatoes in vegetable oil instead of beef fat. They've also recently added more fruit to the menu in the form of Fruit 'n Yogurt Parfaits, and an Apple Walnut Salad - both good any time of the day, for any meal you choose.

We're including the nutrition info for all of McDonalds foods, including the carbs and Weight Watchers points to help you choose the best meal for your diet plan. We didn't bother including the guidelines for beverages, other than the shakes. Who needs to drink a sugary drink like Coke? ALWAYS choose a calorie free cola, bottled water, or perhaps milk if that fits your diet.
