Q: I started strength training 3 days ago and I am still so sore I can barely move. Should I go ahead and exercise again or wait until I've completely recovered?

A: It is normal to experience some soreness when you first start strength training. This is due to the micro-trauma at the cellular level which causes some localized swelling. The swelling pushes up against pain receptors, resulting in that feeling of soreness. Based on how you feel you can you can try to work out. If it is just too painful you should try to do at least some movement (like maybe a power walk) and a bit of stretching. This will help cycle some of the waste products out of the sore areas and speed recovery.
