weight loss cure by kevin trudeau reviewIf you've heard of Kevin Trudeau, then you know his name is surrounded by controversy. He'd have us believe that the government and pharmaceutical companies are all out to get us by joining forces in a big conspiracy to keep us sick so they can empty our pockets. Trudeau offers his advice to help consumers learn about cures that "they" don't want us to know about. His critics claim Trudeau is a charlatan, and has acquired about $2 Billion dollars by preying on our fears and gullibility with fabricated and often dangerous advice, and false hopes. Now Trudeau has published The Weight Loss Cure They Don't Want You to Know About, which promises to be the only truth to conquering obesity, because "they" want to keep you fat. We read this book. We actually paid for this book. Is this the cure we've all been waiting for?

From the front cover:
An absolute cure for obesity was discovered almost fifty years ago by a British medical doctor. Tens of thousands of people used this simple, inexpensive, safe medical treatment and achieved miraculous, fast, and permanent weight loss. Body reshaping of the hips, thighs, buttocks, and waist was so dramatic it appeared as if the patients received liposuction! Amazingly, this medical breakthrough has been debunked, discredited, and suppressed by the American Medical Association, the Food and Drug Administration, and other medical establishments throughout the world. Now, for the first time in fifty years, this revolutionary breakthrough discovery, which permanently cures the condition of obesity, is being released to the public.

The Weight Loss Protocol, as Trudeau calls it, consists of four phases. Phase 1 is based on 60 steps. Each phase adds stranger and stranger requirements to the protocol. Some of the "steps" are just common sense, public knowledge. Eat organic apples. Take walks. Drink water. Eat Breakfast. Avoid trans fats and high fructose corn syrup. Some of the steps are based on common, yet questionable, weight loss products such as green tea and yerba mate. In case you are not aware, the only published study done on green tea for weight loss showed that you would have to drink 4 cups per day for a whole year to result in 8 pounds of weight loss. That's not exactly a weight loss cure!

Most of the steps are downright weird and have no scientific basis! You can't wear makeup, other than a little natural eyeliner and lipstick. This is because makeup makes you fat. I hope you don't have dry skin, because you can't use body lotion. That's right, it will make you fat. You also have to buy a special expensive magnet which you wear around your neck.

Do you have a heart condition? Diabetes? Epilepsy? Depression? Allergies? Headaches? If you are taking ANY medication, you have to stop taking it. According to Kevin Trudeau, "ALL non-prescription, over-the-counter, and prescription medications of every kind absolutely, 100%, are proven to lead to weight gain and obesity. All non-prescription, over-the-counter, and prescription medications and drugs absolutely, 100%, cause illness and disease. This is proven. No drug, including even a common aspirin, is safe."

BUT! Get yourself to a physician quick, because you must ask for a PRESCRIPTION for human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). hCG is a hormone excreted in the urine of a pregnant woman. Injections of this hormone, when combined with an extremely low calorie diet of 500 calories per day, are claimed to cause rapid fat loss. First Trudeau tells us that every prescription is proven without a doubt to cause obesity, then he tells us to get a prescription to cure it?

If it's that easy, why don't our doctors suggest it? Because hCG has not been shown to be safe or effective for weight loss and the FDA considers it deceptive practice. Trudeau suggests if our doctor will not prescribe it, get a new doctor. We think if your doctor WILL prescribe it, then you need a new doctor. Besides, going on a 500 calorie per day diet causes the same fast weight loss, with or without the hCG. It's called starvation.

What you get to eat: Lunch and dinner each include about 3 ounces (raw weight) of lean beef, chicken, or fish, cooked without any oil or salt. One handful of greens or radishes or celery or cabbage. One apple or grapefruit or handful of strawberries. Your daily total will be 500 calories. That just enough calories for a 6 month old baby, or a Miniature Schnauzer. Put a leash on the dog, because you have to take a one hour walk every day.

The entire book is filled with fiction, spattered with a few facts. The idea is that if you recognize wise advice, such as eating breakfast every day and choosing organic fruits and veggies, that you might convince yourself the rest is true. Don't bother. It's hooey.

Kevin Trudeau would like us to believe that he visited a secret clinic known only to kings, queens, celebrities, and billionaires, and was given the information published in this book. He had to sign a disclaimer stating he would never reveal who had been treated there. Trudeau lives quite the fantasy. If you buy his books and believe what he prints, then you are also living in a fantasy.

There really is a cure for obesity. Follow a balanced and healthy diet, and get more exercise. That's the weight loss cure HE doesn't want you to know about.
