Traveling, whether by bus, train, plane, boat or car, puts a lot of stress on the human body, so exercising healthy travel habits can make all the difference in how you come out at the end. Due to all that stress, your body becomes more susceptible to health problems when you’re on the go–anything from lack of sleep causing exhaustion and poor eating habits, to vitamin deficiencies. 2. Reishi

Reishi is a mushroom originating in China. Its combination of glucans, polysaccharides and triterpenes aid in balancing the body. Most people have heard of upping their daily vitamin C intake when they’re fighting off a cold, but honestly much of the population could stand to have more vitamin C in their daily diet period. Vitamin C is an antioxidant. 5. Melatonin

Melatonin isn’t an herb, but a hormone produced by the human body. However, studies in Melatonin are relatively new, and results seem to vary from person to person.

You might recognize the name as being an ingredient found in turkey, and known for making people sleepy. Tryptophan can be taken as a supplement to assist in regulating sleep patterns and even getting you to sleep if you have a hard time during your travels.
