5. Hold Off on Artificial Sweeteners
Artificial sweeteners may be a better alternative to natural sugars, but they actually contribute to increasing your cravings. For those who have sugar addictions, it’s not advisable to simply give in through artificial sweeteners. This fools your body into thinking you’re getting the sweets you yearn for, and doesn’t help at all in combating these cravings.
6. Get Support
You can opt to do the battle alone, or you can seek the support of your friends and family. Letting everyone know that you’re serious about curbing your sugar addiction will help you stick to your guns because of accountability. Out of sight is out of mind, and if nobody is parading sweet treats in front of you, the better chances you have for fighting off your sugar cravings.
