5 Diet Pills Cautioned Against by the FDA

The FDA constantly warns consumers about drugs that have not been approved and labeled as safe. Also known as the Japan Linghzi Slimming Formula, the 2 Day Diet pill comes with many guarantees for consumers. It is marketed as a drug that stimulates your metabolism, burns fat in your body and inhibits your appetite. However, the pill also contains a harmful ingredient known as sibutramine. Sibutramine is a stimulant, not unlike amphetamine. When taken in large doses, sibutramine can cause a stroke, heart attack and even death.

2. 3x Slimming Power

The 3x Slimming Power pill is a combination of Chinese herbs that stops the body from digesting fat and prevents it from being absorbed. One of its main ingredients, lingzhi, is an herbal medicine known for its cleansing properties. Despite its herbal ingredients, consumers are still cautioned against this diet pill because of its unlisted ingredients. It can also cause side effects such as dizziness and headaches.

3. 8 Factor Diet

The 8 Factor Diet pill is another diet pill manufactured in China that have been considered unsafe by the FDA. Aside from containing sibutramine, this drug has also been found to contain phenolphthalein, a laxative that can damage your DNA and increase your risk of developing cancer. Like most unsafe weight loss pills, the 8 Factor Diet pill also has an inaccurate ingredient list.

4. Extrim Plus

The Extrim Plus diet pill is another weight loss pill that contains sibutramine without listing it as an ingredient. Also manufactured in China, Extrim Plus not only promises to burn body fat but also claims to help rid your body of toxic elements and relieve constipation.

5. 24 Hour Diet

Also containing sibutramine is the 24 Hour Diet pill. This diet pill promises to help you lose weight by suppressing your cravings for carbs. What you don't know is that you are also ingesting a stimulant that can cause cardiovascular diseases.

Other weight loss drugs that the FDA has warned consumers against are Fatloss Slimming, 5x Imelda Perfect Slimming, 999 Fitness Essence, Perfect Slim, Royal Slimming Formula and Slim 3 in 1. Most of these drugs feature an inaccurate list of ingredients and uses sibutramine to help consumers lose weight. Aside from its dangerous components, these weight loss formulas are not long-term weight loss solutions.
