Pure Rosehip Oil has made a deep impact on the beauty industry in the last few decades. Oil is made from the rose hip plant in Chile, a relation of the rose bush family, and its seeds are collected and then processed in such a way that oil is created. It is this oil that is then used either on its own or within another product to keep the skin soft, smooth and looking fantastic.
The reason that pure rosehip oil works is because it has an extremely high concentration of polyunsaturated fatty acids – up to 80% in fact as well as vitamin A, C and E. This is great news for your skin because these polyunsaturated fatty acids start the rejuvenation process in the epidermis and the dermis (the first and second layers of skin respectively), generating new skin cells. The result is your skin locks in more nutrients and moisture, preventing or reducing the effects of wrinkles and fine lines around the mouth and eyes (known as crow’s feet).
Because of its remarkable qualities – known to the Chilean women for centuries but only just confirmed by scientists now – many beauty companies and manufacturers have been incorporating it into their products. Although you can find pure rosehip oil in a little bottle all on its own, there are many products in drug stores and beauty salons which contain this wonderful sweet smelling oil.
1. Skin Moisturizer
Many of you will no doubt suffer from dry skin. Whether it is natural or due to the constant damage from the weather (wind, rain, sun, snow etc) it is our skin that pays the price of the elements. Because of this, you will need to keep a good skin moisturizer in your beauty kit to curb the effects of the weather. Many skin moisturizers are now adding in a few drops of pure rosehip oil because of its fantastic hydration levels and its amazing abilities to keep the skin soft and supple. It does this by being absorbed into the skin much quicker than what it would if there was no pure rosehip oil in the product.
2. Anti-Aging Products
When you’re younger you notice if you are starting to get spots; when you get older you start to notice wrinkles. Those fine lines around the mouth and eyes are known popularly as crow’s feet and the lines stretching across the forehead are nicknamed laughter lines. However, there is nothing funny about wrinkles. Pure rosehip oil is scientifically proven to help prevent wrinkles or to help reduce their appearance and because of this, many anti-aging beauty products and now adding this wonderful oil into their merchandise.
3. Shampoo and Conditioner
Your hair says a lot about you as an individual, but it can take quite a beating from the elements as you go about your daily life. Many shampoos are now placing a small amount of rosehip oil into their shampoos and conditioners as this lovely oil can improve the texture of the hair itself and repair any damage to the scalp from other harmful products.
