3 Fantastically Flavorful Vegan Meals

Are you searching for vegan meals that have flavor and are simple to prepare? Are you looking for an easy meal plan that will meet your nutritional needs and still give your taste buds a treat? Here are some samples of some flavorful vegan meals that can keep you on track and make your mouth water at the same time.

1. Vegan Pizza

A vegan meal anyone may love and make easily is their own homemade vegan pizza. Start by purchasing your own premade dough or packaged dough (follow the directions for preparing). Then, add you’re your favorite sauces and toppings such as: green peppers, mushrooms, cut up spinach, roma tomatoes, chopped basil and minced garlic.

The pizza can be your main course, or you can add some breadsticks or a serving of salad to your meal.

2. Pasta in Lentil Tomato Sauce

This recipe is spicy enough to make you feel like you are eating more than you think and may be the perfect solution for those of us who are on a diet (or who would like to lose a little bit of weight). You can mix up the recipe a bit, according to your taste. This is a great thing about recipes: you can add or take away from them according to your own individual taste. However, the regular recipe requires:

  • ¼ cup of raw lentils
  • ½ cup of any pasta that you like
  • 1 tsp. of olive oil
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 1 small chopped glove of garlic
  • ½ tsp of ground cumin
  • ¾ cup of chopped tomatoes
  • dash of salt and pepper

Cook lentils and pasta separately. Sauté the onion in the olive oil for two minutes. Slowly, begin adding the garlic and cumin to the onion mixture. Cook for a minute, carefully. Add the cooked lentils and pasta, and a dash of salt and pepper for extra flavor. Simmer for about five minutes.

This should be enough for a meal. If it isn’t, add some rolls or a small salad.

3. Taco Salad

There aren’t many vegan meals that everyone can agree on enjoying. However, taco salad may be the exception to this rule.

When preparing your taco salad, vegan style, consider incorporating such foods as:

  • Head of lettuce
  • Red onion sliced or diced
  • 1 bag of Tortilla Chips
  • Catalina Style Dressing or one of your choice
  • Meat Free Ground Beef (can be found in most produce aisles of your local grocery store).

Add any other ingredient of your liking and enjoy.

Enjoying a good vegan meal does not mean that you have to go without taste or enjoyment. It just may mean you have to use your imagination a little more.
