10 Benefits of Sea Salt

Sea salt used to be called “bay salt” or “solar salt” because it is obtained by evaporating seawater. Both refined and unrefined sea salts can be purchased in grocery stores or health food stores. Refined sea salt is usually white and it will contain additives such as iodine and anti-caking agents. Unrefined sea salt, however, will be a darker color, and depending on where it was produced will be a shade of pink, gray or a light sandy color.
